About The Window Capture Bag

The Window Capture Bag is a versatile piece of equipment designed for the safe and efficient handling of various animal species, particularly in veterinary settings. Developed by Peter Prodromou in collaboration with veterinarians and animal professionals from around the world—including Guatemala, Egypt, Germany, and Sri Lanka—this bag integrates expertise from multiple disciplines to optimize animal welfare during medical procedures.

Initially designed for working with cats, its functionality has been successfully extended to other species like large pythons, monitor lizards, crocodiles, and primates. The Window Capture Bag offers a controlled and stress-reducing environment while providing visual and manual access points for necessary medical interventions. The key advantage of this design is its ability to ensure the capture and a following treatment process or visual inspection without the need for excessive handling or transfer of the animal.

The Window Capture Bag has a similar use case to our Silky Capture Bag, but due to the heavier material it’s not suitable for many bird species and due to it’s heavier weight, it’s not recommend for smaller mammals.

On the other hand the more rigid fabric works for cats and other carnivores where users might be too concerned to use the Silky Capture Bag.
