Moving Moray Eels with 'The Aquarium Vet Shark Bag' in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

We're delighted to have received this report from Lewis Cocks in which he explains how The Aquarium Vet Shark Bag has been helping them to move Moray Eels.

We decided it was time to relocate two 1.7m+ adult honeycomb moray eels (Gymnothorax favagineus) which have been in this Private exhibit for about 10 years.

At the same time, we decided to move an ever growing goliath grouper (Epinephelus itajara).

The Aquarium is a private 23,000 L exhibit located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Although we had several ideas in mind, we soon realised that using the 1-2-1 handling TAV ‘Shark bag’ was the easiest, safest and quickest option for the job.

The quality of the materials of the ‘Shark bag’ enabled the safe capture of these powerful and somewhat dangerous animals, especially in the confined space of the exhibit.

Another key benefit is that we were able to drain as much water as possible during the move, which minimised the splashing inside the private property.

Once again, the availability of 1-2-1 Handlings products made everything run smoothly and as stress free as possible for both us and the livestock.

Regards,
Lewis Cocks - Marine Biologist @ Issham Aquatics
